Beginner and Regular Class Registration Opens!
We have opened our beginner and regular classes for registration! As we are still in the process of moving to our own dedicated fencing facility at 4114 23 St NE so all start dates will be tentative. Please note that our facility is still closed as we renovate our new space we are tentatively looking at a November start.
No fencing experience but want to try out our sport? Please use our Beginner Classes Page to register for your class. The start dates are tentative pending delays on our opening due to construction. Our classes are scheduled to start at the beginning of January!
For our returning students please use the continuing fencing square page to register for your class. All continuing students must also remember to renew their AFA associate license for the 2025-2026 season to fence. Our tentative start date is TBD with classes ending December 18.

The Calgary Fencing Club has been teaching Olympic sport fencing since 1954. As a non-for-profit sports organization, our goal is to provide fencing lessons for all ages in a fun and inclusive environment. Conveniently located inside the Vecova Recreation Centre on 32 Ave NW across the street from the University of Calgary, our facility features high ceilings and quality wood flooring on 8 full length strips. With ample parking and spectator seating, our club welcomes everyone to come and enjoy the sport of fencing!
