Beginner Class Registration

To register for our Beginner Fencing Classes please complete the following two parts:

Part 1: Complete the Online Waiver Form

Part 2: Pay for the Beginner Class on our Square Site

The Calgary Fencing Club currently offers beginner fencing classes for the age categories listed below. All equipment will be provided during the class:

Youth and Adult Beginners Winter 2026 (Ages 14+) Mo 8:30 – 10:00 PM [Registration Open!]
Mondays 8:30 pm – 10:00 pm
January 05 – December 15, 2026 (Dates tentative, subject to change)
6 week program ($150)

Child Beginners Winter 2026 (Ages 9-13) MW 5:30 – 6:30 PM [Registration Open!]
Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm (2 classes per week)
January 07 – February 09, 2026 (No Classes February 16)
6 week program ($150)

Child Beginners Winter 2026 (Ages 9-13) MW 7:00 – 8:00 PM [Registration Open!]
Mondays and Wednesdays 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm (2 classes per week)
January 07 – February 18, 2026 (No Classes February 16)

We welcome any interested fencers to drop in and watch a class. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the CFC by phone (403) 246-5801 or by email at info@calgaryfencingclub.ca Our office is open during club hours if you require assistance for registration.

Please Note:

  • Space is limited to the first 18 students.
  • Some classes fill quickly; register early to avoid disappointment. A waiting list is available.
  • Only paid registrations will have their spots saved, filling out a waiver does not guarantee you a spot in class.
  • Waivers must be completed in order to participate in class activities
  • Classes age range will be enforced and we reserve the right to cancel any registrations, if the registrant is outside the class age range please contact info@calgaryfencingclub.ca before registering
  • All courses are subject to cancellation by the club, pending adequate registration. Every effort will be made to transfer participates to a suitable alternative course. If not possible a refund will be issued to the participant or a credit may be applied to their name for later use according to the customer’s preference.
  • Requests to cancel registration and receive a refund will be accepted up to one week before the classes start. Refunds are not issued after that point. Note that all refunds are subject to cancellation fees equal to the registration site provider’s processing fee. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any registration
  • All fencing equipment will be provided during the class
  • AFA Participant license is included in the Class Fees

What to Wear and Bring

  • Indoor running shoes (clean, dry, non-marking & gravel-free to protect the hardwood floor).
  • T-shirt and sweatpants (shorts, jeans, or tear-away pants are NOT permitted; nylon discouraged).
  • Personal Water bottle and towel.
  • Personal Face Masks are optional
  • Cameras are welcome to take pictures of your child.
  • Hair dyes or gels which rub off onto equipment are prohibited.
